Aware, established in 2003, is based in Soldotna, Alaska. The founder and principal of the company, Denise Newbould, has been working in the environmental field in Alaska for the past fourteen years, and has extensive knowledge of the regulatory framework in Alaska and its key players, along with an understanding of Alaska's unique environmental challenges.

Air Quality Permit Decision Tree©
Alaska's newly revised air permit program makes the permit system much more flexible with several new permitting options, but the tradeoff is that it is now even more difficult to figure out which type of permit you need. Aware developed an Air Quality Permit Decision Tree© to help environmental staff navigate through the complex alternatives and quickly determine compliance strategies.
